Ajax have reached agreement with Sparta about the transfer of Rydell Poepon. In april it was announced that the 20-year-old could look out for a new club, despite his contract to 2010.
Poepon played for on loan for Willem II during the 2006-2007 season. The forward, who began that season in Young Ajax, played nine matches for the team from Tilburg. Poepon was Willem II's top goal scorer with ten goals in 32 matches in the past season, when he again played on loan there.
If the striker passes a medical examination, he will sign for three years at Sparta Rotterdam.
